"I moved to Kalgoorlie from Perth in 2010 after meeting my now husband and was quick to fall in love with the wonderful community we have along with the unique landscapes. We have started a family, with 2 young boys and you will often find us all out on adventures and exploring, or at pretty much every community event!
The move to Kalgoorlie also saw a shift in my career from offshore oil and gas recruitment to community services which has allowed me to live my true passion of helping people. I've always enjoyed planning events and bringing people together so, when Christmas at the Park was at risk of ending in 2020, I just knew that taking on this event was my calling. I was grateful to my current employer Empowering People in Communities for allowing me this opportunity and supporting me to bring this event to life over the last 2 years. But I wanted to turn it into something more, I wanted Christmas in the Park to always have its own home and thus Golden Community Mile Inc. was born. I'm looking forward to leading a board of like minded individuals to grow Golden Community Mile Inc."

"Like many living in Kalgoorlie-Boulder, my parents moved here in 1988 with two small children, for 3 weeks. Whilst living in Kalgoorlie-Boulder I have been a part of several community groups. I have always enjoyed the bush and all it has to offer, so when the Kalgoorlie-Boulder Police Rangers cadet unit started I new I had to join. I have been involved with the unit on and off since then, where I am currently the Chief Instructor. Coming from a large family (three younger sisters, all married with children) Christmas has always been a big deal, and being able to be involved in Christmas in the Park over the last few years has been awesome. I am really excited to see how far we take Golden Community Mile Inc."
"I have lived in Kalgoorlie-Boulder since 2015 with my partner, our kids and our whippet and greyhound. I’ve held a number of leadership roles within Kalgoorlie’s community services sector, most recently as General Manager of Hope Community Service’s Goldfields North branch. This role involves the leadership and management of services across Kalgoorlie-Boulder, Coolgardie, Kambalda, Menzies, Leonora, and Laverton, as well as developing and managing budgets, policies and procedures and ensuring good governance. In my role as Treasurer of Golden Community Mile, I will oversee financial administration, advise the board on financial strategy and provide financial information to support sound decision making and ensure sustainability. I am passionate about being of service to community and being involved in Golden Community Mile was the perfect opportunity to do just that!"
I moved to Kalgoorlie-Boulder in 2014 and hit the ground running volunteering for a number of community organisations doing a variety of tasks. I was born and raised in the Pilbara and lived in the city, so for me Kalgoorlie-Boulder is a wonderful mix of the two and I love it here. Volunteering and serving community has run in my family for many generations. I live here with my husband and 4 children who are extremely supportive and get involved where they can. My family has benefited from Christmas in the Park as our families live afar, which is the driving force in joining Golden Community Mile Inc, to ensure other families feel the love and support we have. I love working with other community-minded people with the same passion and drive to serve.
